Angela came over the other day to cut Tyler's hair and baby Finn was not feeling well at all. He was crying and screaming. Tyler picked him up and rocked him to sleep. They were so cute I just had to capture the kodak moment. Tyler is going to make such a great dad someday!

February....What a busy month!
I have been failing to keep the blog up to date with our lives. February has been a busy month for us. Boomer is now 9 months old and was neutered several weeks ago. He was so calm before the procedure, but now he is getting a little rowdy. He wants lots of attention and always wants to play. The other day I caught him with a toothbrush "brushing his teeth." It was so adorable! I was so proud!
I volunteered at the Children's Hospital for their Valentine's party along with several other girls from my class. Although not a lot of kids showed up it was still fun and I really enjoyed seeing the new hospital. It is really neat.
Tyler and I went to a stake valentine's party. It was a lot of fun. There was an artist who drew cartoon pictures of couples, a photographer, and a live singer. There was a couple who did some Latin dancing and a piano preformance. We had a really fun time with Aaron and Angela and Adam and Michela!

Injection Day!
Well this has been a really big week for me. I saw my first patient yesterday (which went wonderfully) and today we practiced injections on each other. Our professor said that if we used his technique the shots would be painless. That definately was not true. They weren't painless, but they weren't terrible. We each had to give each other 6 shots. The funny thing is they had us give them to each other right before lunch. It's amazing I was able to eat anything!

Bangs and Brunette
Tyler always teased me that I should color my hair dark one of these days. I think he never thought I would actually do it but I had been thinking about it for a couple of weeks and my wonderful hairstylist/friend Angela convinced me I should just take the plunge. So about a week or so ago I did it. I absolutely love it. I also had her add some long bangs which is definately taking some getting used to. (I haven't had bangs since I was like 12 so I'm still trying to figure out how to style them). So then I found out that The Makeup Store in Southlands was giving free makeovers on Saturday. I made an appointment to get beautified. It was so fun. The guy that did my makeup did such a good job on my eyes. Simply beautiful.

White coat ceremony

Well I am officially Dr. Laura. Not really, but we finally had our White Coat Ceremony so I'm getting close. For those of you not familiar with tradition, it's a ceremony that symbolizes our transition from the didactic courses of the classroom into the clinic. Mom came down from Fort Collins and Tyler came too. Everyone in our class got white coats with our names embroidered on them. I ordered a small but mine was about 3 times too big. It will fit perect when I'm 9 months pregnant. (Not that it will be any time soon for all of you who were wondering/hoping that was a little hint :) We can't actually wear our coats in clinic, so for now it will just have sit in the closet. I can't wait to start working on real patients in a few weeks! It's gotta be better than injecting oranges and drilling plastic teeth.
Me and Maddy, my transition clinic partner
