We're alive!

Wow! It has been a long time since my last post.  Life has been way too busy lately.  These last 4 months have flown by.  Where to even begin?

Last November Tyler's car died.  We looked for a long time before we finally decided on getting a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer.  We love it.  It's the perfect car for the Colorado family complete with 4WD, 3rd row seating, and a DVD player.  Now we just need to get some little ones to fill it :)

So what has been keeping us so busy these days? Well, one of our New Year's Resolution was to eat healthier.  We starting getting all our produce at Sunflower Market, are eating a lot more chicken and ground turkey rather than ground beef, and have switched all our pasta and bread to strictly whole wheat. (Kendria you would be so proud)  Needless to say it takes a lot more time to cook a healthy meal every night, but somehow I've been pulling it off.  Here are some of my newest creations:
Grilled Chicken with Garlic Tomato Salsa

Curry Chicken Paella

Citrus Salad

Roasted Red Pepper Pizza

School has also been keeping me extremely busy.  We are now seeing patients pretty much every day from 8-5.  I've presented my research at a couple of symposiums.  In fact we will be heading to Chicago in 2 weeks to present there.  There is still a lot to work to do before we get published, but we've got a good start.

Spring Break was 2 weeks ago and I spent it in San Antonio at the dental school doing an endodontic externship.  I was able to stay with my friend Tara who I know from BYU. She is also a 3rd year dental student.  The externship was good, but I have to admit the best part was getting to see another LDS female going through the same things as I am.  Thanks Tara for letting me crash for the week!

Unfortunately all our pictures at the River Walk turned out blurry :(

Tyler has been keeping super busy as well. He is working on setting up his internship for the summer and is as busy as ever with work and school. This semester he is taking a rock climbing course.  He seems to like it, but it takes him away from me on Saturdays which I hate.

Well that's it for the longest post ever. Maybe I won't wait 4 months for the next one.
